Buying stocks in Athletes, what is this about?
The Answer is One Season.com: Opening in late September, the new site has been receiving a lot of attention and has grown to over 25,000 users in the first month. It is a free market system in which users can purchase virtual shares in athletes and the share prices are driven from supply and demand. The Virtual shares are called “SOI’s” or Synthetic Ownership Interests” and are purchased in the One Season Market place. (Market hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 midnight.) (more…)

Lancers Hit Milestones:
The season did not end as anticipated for the Longmeadow High School program, but the Lancers achieved quite a few milestones before their heartbreaking 3-2 overtime loss in Saturday’s Western Massachusetts final.
Longmeadow compiled a school best 21-2-2 record, with its only other loss to Division I Xaverian (2-1). The Lancers posted nine shutouts, outscored opponents 128-33, and were the first to finish unbeaten in the Berry Division (15-0-1) since Cathedral did it in 1999-2000.
Speaking of Cathedral, Longmeadow beat them, 3-2 on January 8th, the first Lancers team since 1984 to do so.
